Most people are convinced they can shut away all of the
air pollution and other bad things simply by shutting the front door of their houses. In your own home, you control what types of air you breathe. Or is that even possible? Sadly, you will discover all sorts of things that can get into your house and raise the likelihood of your coming down with asthma or respiratory issues. This is partly because our houses are actually more air tight--our windows and walls are sealed to enable them to keep the heating and cooling costs low. Sadly, those electricity savings are raising the pollutants in the air of our home. Keep reading to learn what you can apply to make it simpler for you to breathe in your home.
Take your shoes off outside, if possible. If that isn't doable, leave them within your residence's entry way. When you walk around out of your house--even in indoor places like hospitals and shopping centers, your boots and shoes pick things up. The bottoms of your shoes and boots are covered in mold microorganisms, a range of chemicals, dust, dirt as well as bacteria. When you walk into your house with your shoes on, you bring in these items and it gets into the floors and carpets. Then you kick it up once more when you walk back over it. This is the reason why, instead of staying in the floor, it will get kicked back up into the air and you find yourself breathing it in. If you take off your footwear outside the house or in the entry way of the house, you reduce this risk by leaps and bounds.
Hydrogen Peroxide is a great product of many uses and can help eliminate shoe ware issues.
Do not get your dry cleaning right away. Let it remain at the cleaner's for some days. Garments that has just recently been dry cleaned is over loaded with chemicals that are incredibly harmful. Some of the compounds are already known to lead to neurological damage and cancer. You want to be sure that your clothes are completely dry before you bring them home. When you do not let the clothes get entirely dry, those substances are sent to your skin and you may breathe in a few of them. You may also choose a dry cleaner that is an expert in ecological cleaning practices.
Keep your property ventilated! Sure you had those double paned house windows put in to keep the air in your home at your ideal temperature. At the same time, leaving the windows shut continuously requires you to continue breathing all of the crap that gets kicked up every day. The dust mites that get kicked up whenever you dust and vacuum can't get away. The smoke and fumes from baking and frying stuff on your stove and in your oven-float around your home for you to breathe in. The steam from the hot showers seeps into your walls and ceilings and grows harmful mold there which you then inhale and get sick from. Keep your fans turned on. Keep your windows open. Give all the dust and also other stuff a chance to get outside.
There are a wide range of approaches to make your place better. Don't forget: coming home will not mean that you physically shut out the world's troubles (literally). Take several actions to make your house a pollution free zone.
